Cata Serna-Valencia – COO/CFO

Cata Serna-Valencia is the Chief Operational and Financial Officer of Bay Global Strategies and brings a broad understanding of international financing. Ms. Serna-Valencia is a senior finance, accounting, operations, and program professional with over 19 years of experience in leadership positions and brings BGS a global financial perspective.

Ms. Serna-Valencia has managed programs with substantial operational budgets and large staffs located in multiple offices and countries including Vietnam. She has led teams in designing programs, writing proposals, winning grants, and running multi-country projects. And she has been responsible to provide overall financial leadership and oversight to programs in order to accomplish goals and objectives in an efficient and effective manner. Programs include education, health and financial stability in USA, rehabilitation, Agent Orange, and mine action in Vietnam, climate change initiate in Southeast Asia and environmental programs in Latin America and Africa.

Ms. Serna-Valencia has a long history of providing excellent financial and operational consultation with for-profit and non-profit organizations.

Ms. Serna-Valencia completed her master’s degree in finance at John Hopkins University.
